Research Purpose: This study aims to analyze the impact of job stress on work-leisure balance among hospital employees. Through this research, we seek to improve the work environment, reduce job stress, and ultimately contribute to enhancing the quality of life for hospital employees.
Research Methods: A survey was conducted among hospital employees in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam-do Province. The purpose of the study was explained, confidentiality was ensured, and participation was voluntary. A total of 138 completed questionnaires were used for analysis. The collected data were coded and analyzed using multiple regression analysis in SPSS 29 to test the hypotheses.
Results in Research: Among the job stress factors of hospital employees, Role Conflict was found to have no significant effect on Work-Leisure balance. However, Role Overloading and Role Ambiguity were found to have a significant impact on Work-Leisure balance.
Research Conclusion: Job stress among hospital employees was found to have a significant impact on Work-Leisure balance. Leisure plays a crucial role beyond mere rest, allowing individuals to utilize personal time for relaxation, recovery, and stress relief. Therefore, active support is necessary to reduce job stress among hospital employees, helping them maintain Work-Leisure balance and, ultimately, achieve a better work-life balance.
